ESV.org—How to Create Notes
This article is part of the ESV.org Tutorial series.
Record Insights Digitally
Did you know that you can take and save digital notes alongside passages of Scripture using the features on ESV.org?
After creating a free account, simply navigate to a particular book or verse and use your cursor to highlight a section of Scripture. Then click the pencil and notepad icon at the top of the column on the right side of the page. When you select “Create Note” you can then begin to record personal insights, prayers, cross-references, and sermon notes directly next to the verses to which they correspond. Use the text formatting to underline, bold, italicize text, or make numbered or bulleted lists of your observations.
When you’re done, make sure to click “Save Note.” Each time you click on the icon, you’ll be able to click through your past notes, organized by book name and chapter number. Now you can revisit and review them—editing or adding to them at any time.
