Nancy Guthrie's Story of Hope in the Midst of Grief
In the Pain, God Was at Work
When Nancy Guthrie's daughter, Hope, was born, she quickly learned that something was wrong. Doctors informed her and her husband, David, that all of the little things that weren't quite right with Hope were evidence of a more serious problem. They were surprised to hear that their daughter had a rare metabolic disorder and would not live past her first birthday.
And yet, in the midst of their incredible pain, God was at work. In this video, Nancy Guthrie, author of What Grieving People Wish You Knew about What Really Helps (and What Really Hurts), shares her story of grief as she recounts her experience dealing with the death of not one, but two children—and the hope that God provided through those around them in the midst of that painful experience.
