The Triumph of Easter: A 6-Day Devotional for Families
This article is part of the ESV.org Reading Plans series.
Open God’s Word with Your Family
There is no story more worthy of being retold in our families than the true account of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. This week, as culture celebrates the newness of Spring, take the time to share again with your children what we champion as Christians: the true rebirth we experience because of Christ. Open the Bible with your children, ask intentional questions, and trust the Lord to work in their hearts through his word.
David R. Helm, editor of The Big Picture Family Devotional says:
The word catechism comes from the Greek katēchein, which means “to teach.” This is a tool that will help parents teach their children the storyline of the Bible through questions and answers—to clarify the main message of the Bible and instill in your family a growing confidence that the words of the Bible are the very words of God!
