You Are in Constant Communication with the Lord
Grace in the Midst
If you are a true believer in Jesus, you are in constant communication with your Lord in some way. We tend to think that our prayer life, or our communication with God, takes place during an hour of organized personal devotion time in the morning, or before a family meal, or during the prayer segment in a church service, or with our small group and Bible study.
The reality is that we are talking with God all day long. Sometimes those conversations are vocal; other times they are silent in our heart. Sometimes they are cries of pain; other times they are hymns of profound joy and thankfulness.

A Prayer for Redemption
My sin—
your unfailing love.
My transgression—
your great compassion.
My iniquity—
your cleansing.
My evil—
your mercy.
My sin—
your wisdom.
My iniquity—
your presence.
My transgression—
your restoration.
My sin—
your salvation.
My song—
your righteousness.
My broken heart—
your delight.
My prosperity—
your good pleasure.
Your altar—
my delight.
Hide your face
from my sins.
Create in me
a pure heart.
Do not cast me from your presence.
Do not
take your Spirit from me.
Restore to me
the joy of my salvation.
Grant me
a willing spirit.
Save me
from bloodguilt.
Sustain me.
For I know my transgressions,
and my sin
is ever before me.
